Pupil Premium Promise (PPP) Statement
As ADO is currently an unregistered OFSTED provision, we are not eligible to receive Pupil Premium for this service. However, we are not novices with how this process works and have used it efficiently in other services. When we receive our Further Education Registration we will be ready to utilise the governments additional funding to schools to support young people from low-income families and to give them every opportunity to achieve their aims and aspirations.
ADO is committed to ensuring that all children and young people are supported to have a beneficial education and to develop the skills and attributes necessary to succeed within further education and future employment. This commitment is particularly important where CYP experience cultural, social or financial disadvantage and in these cases, ADO seeks to use the funding offered through the Pupil Premium to better address the needs of these students.
We believe that the development of the whole student is of paramount importance. Pupil Premium Funding is used to address skills essential for academic progress and success, however, as a therapeutic further education setting, we also want to ensure that students are happy. Therefore, we aim to raise aspirations, self-esteem, confidence and expand cultural horizons. We believe all of our students should have opportunities to succeed in life no matter what their socio-economic background.
Historically we have been known to purchase resources to better individual user learning and engagement, such as numicon sets or technology to help within mathematics, or cultural books and toys that help young people to learn and embrace one another. We will ensure that, with our further education registration, we will put Pupil Premium spending towards best supporting the CYP that are eligible, whether it be through providing extra 1:1 support, after-school interventions, outdoor adventure trips, digital technology, self-regulation aids or tools, family engagement or intervention workshops, or holiday club respite schemes. We will do our utmost to nurture our CYP who are eligible for pupil premium through equal opportunities.
